Dr O´Daniel recently spoke at ISAPS 2016 in Cancún, Mexico. The annual event by ISAPS (International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery) was held at the beautiful Hotel Paradisus Playa Del Carmen this year, and ran from 9th-10th December. The focus was on surgical procedures including facelifts and necklifts, as well as filler treatments. Dr O’Daniel is renowned for his work on the face and neck, making him a natural choice to speak at the event.
The purpose of the event is to give the surgeons attending a chance to share their knowledge and expertise with their peers in order to enrich the world of cosmetic surgery. In addition to Dr O’Daniel, many other top surgeons from across the US and Mexico were in attendance.
On the opening day of the event, Dr O’Daniel’s first involvement was a segment titled ‘ Algorithm for Choosing the Optimal Procedure For Neck Surgery’. Neck surgery is one of the procedures that Dr O’Daniel has a vast amount of experience performing and so he was able to share his knowledge on the intricacies of the surgery with the other surgeons in attendance.
Later the same day, Dr O’Daniel gave another talk under the marketing section of the day’s events, named ‘ The Barbarian’s at the Gate: Strategies to Keep Your Facelift Patient in Your Practice’. Running a successful surgery not only requires a deep knowledge of cosmetic surgery itself but also marketing strategies and relationship-building so this talk was certainly of great value. On the second day, Dr O’Daniel gave a talk focused around the central neck entitled ‘Video Guide to Management of the Central Neck: Fat, Muscle and Glands’.
